Introducing Cozier

Sleepwear for life.

Rise and shine, today’s the day you can finally sleep Cozier. After over a year of designing, sourcing, tweaking, and tweaking again, we’re excited to announce that Cozier is now open for a small batch pre-order, just in time for the holidays.

During summer 2020, while we (Hilary and Caroline) were hunkered down in our childhood homes in LA, we realized we couldn’t find the perfect sleepwear. We wanted something that was multipurpose–garments that were versatile enough to go from the bedroom to a zoom call, and something we felt confident leaving the house in.

Nothing fit the bill. The options we found were either too sexy or too cutesy, and not much was suitable to wear outside of the bedroom, let alone outside of the house. Plus, most brands didn’t allow us to buy mix and match styles or sizes. Many people wear different sizes on top and bottom, so we couldn’t understand why these brands required us to buy an entire set in the same size. On top of their lack of optionality, none of the brands in the sleepwear space were considering their social and environmental impact as a priority.

After realizing the product we wanted didn’t exist, we started interviewing friends to find out if they felt similarly. We circulated a survey to 200+ people to see if they shared our struggle to find the perfect sleepwear, and it turned out we weren’t alone.

With our idea validated and lots of feedback from our survey participants (thank you!), we solidified our vision for Cozier.

We set out to create beautiful, versatile garments that every/body would feel comfortable sleeping and living in. In tandem with our design, we also carefully considered our obligation to ethical production practices.

We believe that fashion is inherently not sustainable. In an industry that thrives off newness and consumption, we thought the most honest approach would be to design our supply chain with ethical choices at every step, without leveraging “sustainability” as a marketing stunt. We’re committed to minimizing our social and environmental impact because it’s our obligation, not because “sustainable” brands are buzzworthy.

It’s been quite a journey, and we’re proud of how far we’ve come. That said, we’re constantly striving to find new and interesting ways to minimize waste, produce ethically, and evolve our style. We hope you’ll join us on this journey and we can’t wait to hear what you think of your Cozier garments.

xx,

Caro & Hils
